2010-2011 Fundraising Activities
BYH has 3 easy ways 2 fundraise this year!
1. ORGANIZATION-WIDE
These fundraisers bring in necessary revenue to the entire organization to help pay for ice time, administration and items that keep the entire organization running. Participation from all skaters and their families is key. Our success is driven by these fundraisers.

This season, the fundraisers are:
- Lobster Cookout. Join the BYH lobster crew at their annual Brewer Days Picnic on Friday, September 10 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at the Brewer Auditorium. Volunteers are needed to prep, staff, clean up after the event... and eat, too!
- Parking Lot Gate. Volunteer's help Park cars at Shaw's parking lot on Maine Street in Bangor for the outdoor concert on Saturday, September 4th from 3-9pm
- Bottle Drive. The big push is September 6-10!!!! All your Labor Day weekend bottles can help BYH! And this is a season-long effort, too! Bring your returnables to Brewer Redemption Center in the North Brewer Shopping Center (989-1802). Be sure to clearly label all your bags with "Brewer YOUTH Hockey." Bottles do not have to be pre-counted.
- Applebee's Breakfast. Brewer Youth Hockey will be hosting breakfast on Sunday, October 17 at the Bangor Mall, Applebee's Restaurant. Proceeds from the ticket sales will be for the organization, and the breakfast is out of this world.
2. INDIVIDUAL SKATERS
These selling opportunities are for each player to earn funds that will offset their bill this year. If the player’s bill has been paid in full, the amount the player earned will then go as a credit for next year. The more a skater sells, the more money off their bill! A small portion of each sale also goes to the organization to cover production costs. This year, skaters can participate in these fundraisers.
- Little Ceasars Pizza. Everyone needs a quick meal during the hectic holiday season. Ordering Pizza is an easy way to solve that problem. Order forms will be available from your Team Manager or Katie Doak in October.
- Holiday Wreaths. The wreaths will be fully decorated and be sold at a very reasonable price. Selling will start in October and ends in November.

3. TEAMS
Teams will be assigned a time to sell Chuck-A-Pucks at home University of Maine hockey games. This fundraiser gives great exposure to not only BYH, but your TEAM... and your team earns a percentage of the Chuck-A-Puck sales!

Attention Team Managers
If an individual teams finds it necessary to raise funds for a specific cause for their team, please see our Fundraising Chairperson. She has a helpful list of potential fundraisers to choose from. This year, a “Fundraising Request Form” will need to be filled out for each potential fundraiser and turned in for approval by the Board.
